位于春城昆明的云南師范大學(xué)是一所歷史悠久、傳統(tǒng)優(yōu)良的省屬重點(diǎn)師范大學(xué),其前身是誕生于1938年的國(guó)立西南聯(lián)合大學(xué)師范學(xué)院。1946年,組成西南聯(lián)大的北京大學(xué)、清華大學(xué)、南開(kāi)大學(xué)三校復(fù)員北返,師范學(xué)院留昆獨(dú)立設(shè)置,定名國(guó)立昆明師范學(xué)院,1950年改名昆明師范學(xué)院,1984年更名為云南師范大學(xué),1999年與云南教育學(xué)院、云南體育進(jìn)修學(xué)院合并重組云南師范大學(xué)。建校70余年來(lái),學(xué)校恪守西南聯(lián)大“剛毅堅(jiān)卓”的校訓(xùn),形成了“學(xué)高身正、明德睿智”的校風(fēng),已形成全日制高等教育、成人高等教育、高等職業(yè)教育、留學(xué)生教育的人才培養(yǎng)形式,構(gòu)建了博士后、博士、碩士、本科教育完整的人才培養(yǎng)體系,已為國(guó)家培養(yǎng)了各級(jí)各類(lèi)人才20余萬(wàn)人,被譽(yù)為“紅土高原上的教師搖籃”。

學(xué)校占地面積3330畝,下設(shè)23個(gè)學(xué)院,2個(gè)獨(dú)立學(xué)院,40余個(gè)科研機(jī)構(gòu)。現(xiàn)有全日制博士、碩士研究生和本科生25000余人,成人繼續(xù)教育學(xué)生15000余人,圖書(shū)資料270余萬(wàn)冊(cè),是中國(guó)高等教育文獻(xiàn)保障系統(tǒng)云南文獻(xiàn)信息服務(wù)中心建設(shè)單位,建有“萬(wàn)兆主干”的新一代“數(shù)字校園”。學(xué)校主辦的《云南師范大學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)(哲社版)》進(jìn)入全國(guó)高校文科學(xué)報(bào)30強(qiáng)之列,為CSSCI來(lái)源期刊;《云南師范大學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)(自然科學(xué)版)》為中國(guó)科技核心期刊;在全國(guó)大學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)中首創(chuàng)《云南師范大學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)·對(duì)外漢語(yǔ)教學(xué)與研究版》。

學(xué)校擁有文、史、哲、法、教、管、理、工、經(jīng)濟(jì)、藝術(shù)10大學(xué)科門(mén)類(lèi),形成了以教師教育為特色,文理并重、基礎(chǔ)寬厚、多學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的學(xué)科與專(zhuān)業(yè)格局。學(xué)?,F(xiàn)有70個(gè)本科專(zhuān)業(yè),144個(gè)博士、碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn),其中有教育碩士、工商管理碩士(MBA)等10個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn),為全國(guó)首批招收和培養(yǎng)漢語(yǔ)國(guó)際教育碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位研究生的24所試點(diǎn)高校之一。

學(xué)校通過(guò)在教育內(nèi)容、教學(xué)方法、課程體系、人才培養(yǎng)模式等方面的改革和創(chuàng)新,完成了由傳統(tǒng)的師范教育向現(xiàn)代教師教育、由傳統(tǒng)師范院校向以教師教育為特色的教學(xué)研究型大學(xué)的轉(zhuǎn)型。學(xué)校擁有一批國(guó)家級(jí)教學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)、國(guó)家人才培養(yǎng)模式創(chuàng)新實(shí)驗(yàn)區(qū)、國(guó)家教育體制改革試點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家級(jí)教學(xué)成果獎(jiǎng)、國(guó)家級(jí)特色專(zhuān)業(yè)、國(guó)家級(jí)精品課程、國(guó)家級(jí)實(shí)驗(yàn)教學(xué)示范中心、國(guó)家級(jí)雙語(yǔ)示范課程、國(guó)家級(jí)教學(xué)名師、教育部創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)等,擁有20項(xiàng)國(guó)家“質(zhì)量工程”建設(shè)項(xiàng)目,是全國(guó)免費(fèi)師范生試點(diǎn)改革的3所地方高師院校之一,并先后獲得“全國(guó)普通高等學(xué)校優(yōu)秀教務(wù)處”、“全國(guó)高等學(xué)校招生工作先進(jìn)集體”、“全國(guó)普通高校成人高等教育先進(jìn)單位”等榮譽(yù),在教育部本科教學(xué)工作水平評(píng)估中獲得優(yōu)秀。

學(xué)校擁有一批國(guó)家太陽(yáng)能熱水器質(zhì)量檢測(cè)中心、國(guó)務(wù)院僑辦華文教育基地、中英太陽(yáng)能研發(fā)中心、教育部重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、教育部工程研究中心、國(guó)家專(zhuān)業(yè)技術(shù)人員繼續(xù)教育基地、國(guó)家體育總局體育文化研究基地、云南省重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、云南省創(chuàng)新人才基地、云南研究院、云南華文學(xué)院、卜勵(lì)德美國(guó)研究中心、朗寧加拿大研究中心和“中國(guó)·昆明泛亞人才教育與發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略研究院”等。近五年來(lái),學(xué)校共承擔(dān)了國(guó)家人文社科重大招標(biāo)項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家“973”項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家“863”計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目、國(guó)際合作重大專(zhuān)項(xiàng)項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重大項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家社科基金項(xiàng)目等重大科研項(xiàng)目100余項(xiàng),承擔(dān)其他各類(lèi)科研項(xiàng)目300余項(xiàng),科研經(jīng)費(fèi)近2億元。一些原創(chuàng)性的研究成果如光催化材料、抽象微分方程理論、SPT電腦測(cè)色技術(shù)、太陽(yáng)能利用與開(kāi)發(fā)研究、新型酶制劑開(kāi)發(fā)等研究進(jìn)入國(guó)內(nèi)先進(jìn)行列。
學(xué)?,F(xiàn)有教職工2300余人,其中專(zhuān)任教師1600余人,教授、副教授686人,擁有國(guó)家突出貢獻(xiàn)專(zhuān)家、國(guó)務(wù)院特殊津貼獲得者、國(guó)家“百千萬(wàn)人才工程”、中國(guó)科學(xué)院“百人計(jì)劃”、教育部高校青年教師獎(jiǎng)、教育部“新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才支持計(jì)劃”入選者等一批專(zhuān)家學(xué)者。諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)獲得者楊振寧,中科院院士楊樂(lè)、郭柏靈、戴汝為,英國(guó)皇家工程院院士、劍橋大學(xué)教授阿馬拉通加,美國(guó)《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》前總編、普利策獎(jiǎng)評(píng)審委員會(huì)前任主席西默·托平,世界著名未來(lái)學(xué)家約翰·奈斯比特博士等40余個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的近100位知名專(zhuān)家被聘為學(xué)校名譽(yù)教授、客座教授或兼職教授。

 

云南師范大學(xué)是一所開(kāi)放的、有著國(guó)際化視野的現(xiàn)代大學(xué),先后被教育部和國(guó)家漢辦確定為支持周邊國(guó)家漢語(yǔ)教學(xué)的10所重點(diǎn)大學(xué)之一、中國(guó)對(duì)東南亞國(guó)家進(jìn)行漢語(yǔ)師資培訓(xùn)的基地、國(guó)家首批赴海外承辦孔子學(xué)院的大學(xué)、享受中國(guó)政府獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金和孔子學(xué)院獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金留學(xué)生接收院校、國(guó)家HSK考試和漢語(yǔ)作為第二外語(yǔ)教學(xué)能力資格考點(diǎn)。到目前為止,學(xué)校在國(guó)外建立了1所孔子學(xué)院、3個(gè)孔子課堂、5個(gè)中國(guó)語(yǔ)言文化中心。學(xué)校已與英國(guó)、美國(guó)、加拿大、澳大利亞、新西蘭以及港澳臺(tái)等48個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的147所國(guó)外大學(xué)和科研機(jī)構(gòu)建立了合作交流關(guān)系,留學(xué)生生源國(guó)達(dá)到48個(gè)。學(xué)校是聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織在中國(guó)西南地區(qū)的中學(xué)英語(yǔ)師資培訓(xùn)基地和云南省目前具有對(duì)港澳臺(tái)招生權(quán)的兩所高校之一。

 

學(xué)校先后被國(guó)務(wù)院授予“民族團(tuán)結(jié)進(jìn)步模范集體”稱(chēng)號(hào),被人事部、教育部評(píng)為“全國(guó)教育系統(tǒng)先進(jìn)集體”,被教育部評(píng)為“依法治校示范校”、全國(guó)高校校園文化建設(shè)優(yōu)秀成果一等獎(jiǎng)單位;連續(xù)10年被中宣部等評(píng)為全國(guó)大中專(zhuān)學(xué)生社會(huì)實(shí)踐活動(dòng)先進(jìn)單位,連續(xù)5屆在“挑戰(zhàn)杯”全國(guó)大學(xué)生課外學(xué)術(shù)科技作品競(jìng)賽的成績(jī)排名全國(guó)同類(lèi)師范院校前10位,多次獲得全國(guó)大學(xué)生數(shù)學(xué)建模競(jìng)賽一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng);先后獲云南省基層黨建示范點(diǎn)、云南省學(xué)習(xí)型黨組織建設(shè)示范點(diǎn)、“云嶺先鋒”流動(dòng)紅旗先進(jìn)基層黨組織、人才工作先進(jìn)單位、德育先進(jìn)集體。學(xué)校的班級(jí)、社團(tuán)和個(gè)人也涌現(xiàn)出一批全國(guó)先進(jìn)班集體標(biāo)兵,全國(guó)“學(xué)習(xí)雷鋒、志愿服務(wù)”先進(jìn)集體,全國(guó)高校優(yōu)秀學(xué)生社團(tuán),全國(guó)三好生標(biāo)兵,全國(guó)見(jiàn)義勇為先進(jìn)分子以及在雅典、北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)和殘奧會(huì)上獲得金、銀、銅獎(jiǎng)牌的運(yùn)動(dòng)員。

About Yunnan Normal University

Located in Kunming which is called “City of Perennial Spring” and conceived in the Teachers College of the National Southwest Associated University which was established in 1938 from the merger of Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University, Yunnan Normal University is a provincial key university that has a long and fine tradition. In 1946, the three prestigious universities were moved back to their original campuses in the north of China but the Teachers College remained in Kunming. It adopted the name of the National Kunming Normal College in 1946, Kunming Normal College in 1950 and Yunnan Normal University in 1984 respectively. In 1999, Yunnan Education College and Yunnan Sports College merged into Yunnan Normal University. In its development of over seventy years, the university has adhered to its motto of “perseverance in personality; devotion to teaching and learning; pursuit of virtue and wisdom”. It has a fairly complete education system for offering either post-doctoral, doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s degrees to full-time, part-time, vocational, adult and international students. Up to now, it has produced more than 200,000 graduates of different kinds and is rightfully praised as the cradle of qualified teachers on this lateritic plateau.

The university covers a total area of 3,330 Mu(about 543 acres). It consists of 23 schools plus two independent schools and more than 40 research institutes. It has now over 25,000 full-time students pursuing different degrees and 15,000 students in the School of Continuing Education. Its library is the provincial center of the data resources of Chinese higher education and houses more than 2,700,000 copies of books of various kinds with a new-generation digitalized service system. The Journal of Yunnan Normal University (social sciences) ranks among the top thirty of its kind(CSSCI) in China, The Journal of Yunnan Normal University (natural sciences) is an acclaimed core journal in China, and The Journal of Yunnan Normal University (Teaching and Research on Chinese as a Foreign Language) is the first one of its kind in China.

The university offers such branches of learning as literature, history, philosophy, law, education, management, economics, art, science and technology with teacher education as its characteristic feature. Its interdisciplinary orientation helps the students lay a solid foundation for future development. It offers 70 bachelor’s programs, 144 master’s and doctoral programs, of which ten are professional master’s programs like MBA and General Education. It is one of the first 24 universities in China that offer the master’s program for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

Through innovative reforms on teaching methodology, contents, curriculums as well as training models, the university has accomplished the transformation from a traditional teacher-training university to a teaching-research oriented modern university with teacher education as its typical trait. It has some qualified teaching teams, innovative courses, special programs and experimental teaching bases that rank among the best in China in their respective fields. It carries out some key reforms in terms of education system, bilingual teaching and teaching innovation at the national level. It has 20 state-level “Quality Projects” under construction. It is one of the three universities of its kind in China that offer free teacher-training programs. The Education Affairs Department, the Enrolment Department and the Adult Education Department of this university have received state-level honors of different kinds for their respective contribution. Its undergraduate teaching is rated “Excellence” in the teaching-quality assessment by the Ministry of Education of China.

The university has more than forty research centers or institutes at the national, ministerial or provincial levels, including a national solar-heater quality testing center, a Chinese education base sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, a China-UK solar-energy research center, a research center of sports culture sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China, Platt American Studies Center, Ronning Canadian Studies Center, Kunming Strategy Research Institute for Pan-Asian Talent Training and Development, some key labs, engineering research centers and talent-training bases sponsored either by the Ministry of Education of China or by the provincial government. In the past five years, the university has taken on some prestigious key research projects like the National Social Science Foundation Major Project, the National Natural Science Foundation Major Project, “973” Project, “863” Project, and some key international joint projects. Its national research projects of natural sciences and social sciences number 100 plus 300 other research projects of various kinds with its research funds totaling about 200,000,000 Yuan(RMB). Some of its research findings rank among the best in China, including photocatalytic materials, studies on abstract differential equations, SPT techniques, solar-energy application and development, and new enzymes.

The university has a staff of about 2,300, of whom 1,600 are full-time teachers and 686 are professors and associate professors. Some of them are experts with honors from the Central Government, the State Council of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences or the Ministry of Education of China. The university has invited about 100 well-known experts from 40 countries and regions all over the world as its Honorary Professors, Guest Professors or Adjunct Professors, including Professor Chen-Ning Franklin Yang, a Nobel Prize winner, Professor Yang Le, Professor Guo Bailing and Professor Dai Ruwei who are academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Gehan Amaratunga from Cambridge University, an academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K., Professor Seymour Topping, former Administrator of the Pulitzer Prizes, managing editor for the New York Times and president of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, and Dr. John Naisbitt, a well-known futurist.

The university boasts of its international vision and modern ideas. It is one of the ten universities selected by the Ministry of Education of China and the Office of Chinese Language Council a HSK test center and a CFL test center. It is one of the first Chinese universities selected by the Chinese Government to establish Confucius Institute abroad and provide Government Scholarship and Confucius Institute Scholarship to international students. Up to now, it has established one Confucius Institute, three Confucius Classrooms and five Chinese culture centers abroad. It has cooperation with 100 universities and research institutes in Great Britain, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries as well as in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan of China. It has a training base for middle-school English teachers in southwest China sponsored by UNESCO and is one of the two universities in Yunnan Province that are authorized to enroll students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan of China.

The university has won honors for its contribution to our national unity, educational development, cultural construction, moral education and legal construction from the State Council, the Ministry of Personnel, the Ministry of Education of China and the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee as well as from the provincial government and the local governments at different levels. Some of its students have won honors from governments and institutions at different levels for their scientific and technological innovation, achievements in moral education and praiseworthy actions for helping other people as well as other prestigious awards. Some students from this university have become medal winners in the Olympic Games or the Paralympic Games in Beijing and in Athens.
