The Memphis Grizzlies were looking to bounce back after an opening night embarassment in the NBA.
Marc Gasol and company were blitzed by 30 points by Cleveland in their first game of the year, but were looking to bounce back against the Indiana Pacers, and keep the boys from Nap-town winless this NBA season.
The Grizz start out strong as Jeff Green is able to slice to lane and dish to Gasol for the easy two. Visitors up 9. 20 for Memphis centre on the night.
And Memphis would be able to take a 1-point lead into recess after the Beno Udrih floater.
The Pacers would start to come alive in the third q, George Hill hits from the land beyond -- and the hosts are up 7.
Then in transition, C.J. Miles is also able to spot up from behind the arc and Indy stretches the lead to 8.
The Grizz would make a run, and take a lead, as we find out 129-million is available in the Tennessee Lottery -- but Paul george puts the Pacers in front by one with this longball.
Inside four minutes, and the hosts up a deuce, when Gasol is hacked in the act, he gets the continuation and we have a tie ball game at 96-all. Indy coach Frank Vogel can't believe it.
Next possesion and George tries to put his team in front, but is rejected by Green, and the bears go the other way -- and the man who got the block is out on the wing, and cans the triple. Visitors up three.
And the Memphis swingman is able to seal things a couple minutes later -- as he nails another from downtown. 106-99 game at that point as the Grizz win it by 9.
In other action, Atlanta got 23 points from Jeff Teague as the Hawks outdueled the New York Knicks 11. And Blake Griffin's 26 points paced the L.A Clippers to an easy win over the Dallas Mavericks.
