B：Yes, I experienced one when I was in Tokyo once. The tremors only lasted a few seconds though and then it was over.經(jīng)歷過(guò),我在東京的時(shí)候遇到過(guò)一次.不過(guò)那次輕微的地震大概只持續(xù)了幾秒鐘,然后就過(guò)去了.

B：I don't remember, but it wasn't very serious. Have you ever been in an earthquake?我不記得了,不過(guò)不是很嚴(yán)重.你經(jīng)歷過(guò)地震嗎?

A：No, but I was in quite a few tornados when I was younger.沒(méi)有,不過(guò)我小時(shí)候遇到過(guò)幾次龍卷風(fēng).

B：Where are you from?你是哪里人?

A：I'm from the plains of the Midwest. It's a prime location for tornadoes.我來(lái)自美國(guó)中西部的平原地區(qū).那里是龍卷風(fēng)的多發(fā)地帶.

B：Did your house ever get damaged from the winds?你家的房子在龍卷風(fēng)中有損壞嗎?

A：Most of the time we were lucky, but once a tree from our front yard was ripped out by its roots and ended up in our living room.基本上挺走運(yùn)的,不過(guò)有一次前院的樹(shù)被連根拔起,砸在我們的起居室里.

B：Wow, that must have really been scary.哇!那一定挺恐怖的.

A：Actually, some of my fon dest memories of my childhood were of spending time with my family in the basement waiting for the tornados to pass.其實(shí)我關(guān)于童年生活印象最深的就是和家人一起躲在地下室里等著龍卷風(fēng)過(guò)去.

B：Have you ever experiences a flood?你遇到過(guò)洪水嗎?

A：No, but my father's car was destroyed in a flood once. It actually happened the day after he bought the car!沒(méi)有,不過(guò)有一次我爸爸的車被洪水給毀了.就在他剛買了那輛車的第二天!

B：That sure didn't last long!那一定沒(méi)法用了!
