Deposits by correspondence refer to the way in which overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, Chinese of foreign nationality and domestic residents approved to settle down or study abroad authorize domestic banks to handle savings deposits for their funds abroad.
通信存款是指華僑、港澳臺(tái)胞、外籍華人及批準(zhǔn)出境定居或留學(xué)的國(guó)內(nèi)居民,將其在國(guó)外的資金委托國(guó)內(nèi)銀行辦理儲(chǔ)蓄存款的一種方式。

來(lái)信委托銀行辦理通信存款開(kāi)戶的客戶,須附身份證、護(hù)照或出境通行證等有效證件的影印件,填寫“通信存款開(kāi)戶申請(qǐng)書”,根據(jù)銀行已開(kāi)辦的業(yè)務(wù)種類(如活期、定期、定活兩便等)選擇存款種類,并約定日后的支取方式,即可辦理開(kāi)戶手續(xù)。
