A:I think I'm going to go home.
B:Why? We just got here.
A:I know, but it's 12:45 a.m. It's pretty late.
B:Twelve thirty a.m. isn't late! This party will probably go until three or four o'clock. C'mon, don't leave yet!
A:Three or four o'clock?
B:Sure.
A:I never stay out that late. That's too late.
B:But it's Saturday night. We have nothing to do tomorrow. Why not stay out?
A:Were you so wild when you were in Los Angeles,Robert?
B:Yes, I was. People know how to party here. In LA, some people know how to party. But here, everyone does. Do you want to smoke?
A:I don't want to.
B:That's alright. But I think you need another drink. People will probably start dancing soon.
A:I wonder if I can drink more. I already had three beers.
B:C'mon, Ann, you are in an American university now! You have to learn how to enjoy American life.
A:But a university is for studying.
B:That's true. We study hard all week. And then, on the weekend, we party hard. That's the best way to live. Remember? To be is to do and to play.
A:Alright. Another drink, please.
