提到“完全”、“徹底”，你的腦海中是否只會閃現(xiàn)all、completely、entirely一類的單詞?其實外國的小伙伴們還有更豐富的詞匯，來表達(dá)他們強(qiáng)烈的語氣呢~

1. Every inch

不說all，你也可以用every inch(每一寸)來表示“完完全全地，整個地”。

例：With his new suit on, he looks every inch a businessman.

穿上新西裝，他看上去完全是個商人了。

2. Through and through

Through本身有“完全的”、“徹底的”意思， through and through就更能加強(qiáng)這種語氣了。

例：I know him through and through, and he would never do such a cowardly thing.

我對他十分了解，他絕不會這么懦弱。

3. Root and branch

這個短語把樹根和樹杈都說全了，用來形容“徹徹底底”再合適不過了。

例：The laws were reformed root and branch.
