讀者 Dean 提出另外一個(gè)問題。 他閱報(bào)時(shí)看到

"No sooner had Tina and Tim said 'I do' than the groom took his happy bride to a part of town she had never seen before."，

想問可不可以改寫成

"No sooner Tina and Tim had said 'I do' than the groom took his happy bride to a part of town that/in which she had never seen before."。

No sooner 放在句子的前面是一個(gè)倒裝句型，順序的說法應(yīng)該是 "Tina and Tim had no sooner said ... "?，F(xiàn)在倒換了過來，動(dòng)詞也跟著要放在不同的地方，所以才有 "No sooner had Tina and Tim said ..." 的倒裝字序。

句子的第二部分 "the groom took his happy bride to a part of town she had never seen before"， town 和 she 中間好像缺了一個(gè)關(guān)系代名詞，Dean 提出的疑問很有道理，但which 或者 that 作為關(guān)系代名詞時(shí)常常會(huì)被省略，這句子因此是可以成立的。

至于是否可以代入 in which，這恐怕有點(diǎn)問題。因?yàn)檫@句子若用較直接的方法寫出來應(yīng)是 "she had never seen that part of the town before"。句子里面并沒有 in 這個(gè)字，因?yàn)?see 是及物動(dòng)詞，加上賓語時(shí)不需加上前置詞，即是 "she had seen in that part of the town" 并不符合文法，所以 "the groom took his happy bride to a part of town in which she had never seen before" 并不正確。
